Back in 2006 I (Toast) wanted to make a new project that revolved around ADC and all its various aspects, I didn't have a clue of how much info was available or where to get started but luckily Crise the author of ApexDC++ did since he had been working on a CMS for the AirDC++ site with phpBB2 and was now ready to move on to phpBB3.

we all know that scripting clientside has never been a huge popular thing to do compared to hubside scripting since there is so much more you can do but times are changing and recently we been talking about a plugin interface for DC++ that has not yet been made into reality since arnetheduck hasnt given his consent to us implementing it but it has heavy support in DCDev.

That is a relative question we seen that the US is pretty aggressive when it comes to applying their laws in other countries instead of letting that specific country deal with their own mess since almost every European Country has an antip2p agency.

Well as of late there has been a discussion over migrating to wxWidgets amongst DC++ Mod Developers talk begun on ApexDC++ forums with their post of hiring people for migration to Linux now in a series of events BM "kinda" confirmed that wxWidgets is indeed a plausible future for DC++ Mods on ApexDC++ forums in their status bar.

Lately ive been busy (really busy!!) so im sorry for the lack of posts but im back to announce that development moves forward in a huge way so whats new whats up and what going on thats what im here to indulge in.
We begin with protocol, we pushed a new minor on ADC Extensions

BLOM (Introduced into the spec)
UCMD (Changed in spec)

So what is bloom well a bloom filter is a bandwidth saver that remembers tths (searches, share etc) if a client and a hub server has both they change information...

As standards gets updated some projects becomes incompatible with the current protocol and users gets mad for things not working as they dont in the past.

This is whats happened to a client called microdc2 as time has gone on and no updates has come to this client its fallen behind now incapable of downloading uploading from DC++

Well guys im back with another grim report on WHY its important to update your client. Some of my other security reports was about older older exploits so i thought it was high time to show off some new stuff thats effecting the net.

So we have been running a build archive since 25 oct 2009 (see Wikipedia for further information on nightly builds).

So far the builds hasn't had a huge success but it seems to have its loyal followers so far we supply nightly builds on DC++, ADCH++ and DCBouncer we used to have uHub but they seemed to have discontinued Windows builds for now hoping that JVK will fix that. The build archive seems to work well since most bugs are caught before released that way making the distributions more stable.
